There are several types of finishes (finished regular and antiques) are carried out on rough stone surfaces for specific appearances. Finishing procedures are used to enhance the beauty and durability of stone surfaces.

Regular Finishes

Polishing: A brilliant, mirror finish resulting from filling the pores of the rough cut saw through the grinding surface and the surface treatment using abrasive polishing stones.

Slabs of marble, limestone and granite are polished by the large polishing machines, which progressively grind the rough saw cut surface giving Marble a spectacular mirror finish.

Applications: walls and floors (interior and exterior)

Mate: a sati-stone finish smooth. Polished finish has a matte or satin finish for a softer look, smoother, get stopping just before the final polishing step.

Final Cut Saw: The shape of the rough surface finish resulting from the stone cut with any blade.

Antique Finishes

Brushing: An old stone finish produced by scrubbing the surface with continuous wire brushes.

Split face: face broken surfaces are those that are left natural after manual separation of the stone along flat surfaces. This ending shows the true natural earth tone stone.


Applications: covering walls (interior and exterior)

Fallen: Tumbling is vibrating tiles with special stones to give the surface texture and appearance of old on the edges are rounded and imperfect.

Flamed: The application of a blowtorch heat resistance to the surface of Marble and Granite, the reality is some of the crystals and creates a very textured surface that produces flamed stone. In addition to its rugged beauty, flamed granite has a highly textured surface, which gives it a very non-slip surface, ideal for outdoor installations.

Sandblasting: sand blasting is done by blowing a particulate mixture of coarse sand and the air above the surface of the stone.

Bush-Hammered: a mechanical process that produces all the hammering textured surfaces ranging from subtle to rough.

Chiseled Face: The surface is produced by hand using a hammer and chisel and is used mainly in the lining of walls and facades.

Tooled: A stone finish with parallel grooves cut into it. Available with 1-4 rows per inch (254 mm), the coating may be performed by hand (handmade) or machine (the machine that manufactures).

Treated with acid: stone surfaces are treated with acid to give an antique look spectacular.
